My name is Richard Thatcher and I'm a software engineer at Amazon Web Services in S3 in the Seattle area. I have a BS and MS in Computer Science, both from Boise State University.

I enjoy car racing, competing and watching. I race an Evo VIII in autocross and hillclimbs. I follow Formula 1 and WRC racing series but am happy to watch W Series, IMSA, or basically any car racing that involves turns.

I play guitar and recently started learning drums and bass. I mostly play metal, but like playing anything I find interesting or difficult from punk to classical.

The internet was probably a bad idea.

Masters Thesis

My car is a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. It is modified to SCCA A Street Prepared rules and I compete in autocross and hillclimb events.
